all Design is political
Art historians say all art is political. If that‘s the case then design is the mother of political communication. As creatives of the advertising industry we are wielding very powerful weapons of mass media. Ideally, for every profitable message I create I would like to create a non-for-profit counter visual. Bringing food-for-thought to the table and spreading social awareness into the world. Small steps to a greater cause!
For the Basisorganisation Die Linke Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf I created the Wahlplakate of 2023.
For International Women‘s Day 2023 I organised an engaging event for BBDO Group Germany and Omnicom MediaGroup. Me and my partner Jenny created a timeline on the history of women‘s rights. We gave talks explaining the timeline, which is based on women‘s rights in Germany but are similar to other countries in the western world. Did you know that women have only been able to open their own bank accounts since 1958?
After the talks we sent around one question to our colleagues: „So what kind of problems do you think women face today?“. The results were very fruitful, sparked some important debates within the office and were presented to top-management.

In 2021 I started to develop a curriculum on women’s rights. When did the fight for equality start? What did the second wave of feminists fight for? With every learning I created an educational poster which was then shared by BBDO Group Germany for the International Women’s Day 2021.
